Creme de Cassis

1 1/2 cup dried currants
2 1/2 cup regular vodka
1/2 cup 100 proof vodka
Zest of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice

Let steep for 4 weeks

Strain and add 1 1/2 cup simple syrup (see recipe)

Steep 4 more weeks

Strain again and bottle.
